Tablet Version 4.5.1 Release Notes

Release Date: 2026-08-31 | Version: 4.5.1

✨ Highlights

  • Employee attendance and break management is now available on Tablet.
  • Printer configuration can synchronize between Tablet and Backoffice with version-aware conflict handling.
  • Delivery address and customer information display have been improved across supported order flows.
  • Customer Display amounts, COD change, WebView performance, and operational diagnostics have been refined.

🎉 New Features

1. Employee Attendance and Break Management

  • Staff can view the employee attendance list with pagination, search, and pull-to-refresh.
  • Employees can clock in and clock out using their PIN, select a work role, and view their current attendance details.
  • Attendance details show server time, shift duration, and a timeline for Clock In, Break Started, Break Ended, and Clock Out.
  • Paid Break and Unpaid Break are supported, including configured break-rule selection and confirmation before a break starts.
  • During a break, the remaining time is displayed. Minimum break duration, unavailable start times, and break overtime are handled according to the store configuration.
  • Employees cannot clock out directly while on a break. The Tablet can return to the attendance or PIN lock flow during a break, and the Order Center can show a break reminder with a server-time countdown.
  • Attendance actions use the store's configured PIN and attendance settings. Supported role selection includes configured external roles and OrderPin roles.
  • Why it matters: Managers and staff can track attendance and break status directly from the POS with clearer real-time status.
  • Configuration required: Attendance and PIN login must be enabled, and break rules and roles must be configured for the store.

2. Printer Configuration Synchronization

  • Local printer settings now include version and update-time metadata for safer comparison with Backoffice settings.
  • Tablet checks local and remote printer configurations and can upload a newer local configuration to Backoffice.
  • When the remote configuration is newer, the Printer Settings page prompts staff to synchronize it manually instead of silently overwriting local settings.
  • A Sync action applies the remote configuration locally and reconnects the printer. LAN, USB, and Bluetooth printers are supported.
  • Backoffice can send printer synchronization and print-test tasks to the Tablet. Requests are validated against the shop, device, system source, printer serial number, update time, and configuration data.
  • Printer deletion uploads the updated remote list before removing the local record, helping keep local and Backoffice data consistent.
  • Why it matters: Printer settings are easier to reconcile across devices while reducing accidental configuration loss.

✨ Improvements

1. Delivery Address and Customer Information Improved

  • Address editing now uses the Web POS delivery-address page and preserves existing address details through encoded data.
  • Address data now includes map location information where available.
  • Customer and delivery address fields are handled more consistently when creating customers, recording delivery orders, and viewing table-order or online-order details.
  • After a customer is added to a delivery order, the Tablet refreshes the order details so the latest customer and address information is shown.
  • In-store history and supported online-order details now display delivery addresses more reliably.
  • Why it matters: Staff can correct or review delivery information with fewer missing or stale fields.

2. Customer Display Amounts Improved

  • The Customer Display no longer shows the meal number in the left-side summary.
  • Round Down is shown below Amount Due instead of as a separate left-side fee row.
  • Total amount calculation and display now account for Round Down consistently, and the Round Down text remains visible at the intended size.
  • Why it matters: Customers see a clearer and more consistent payment total.

3. Checkout and Payment Feedback Improved

  • Cash on Delivery orders now show the change amount after checkout when applicable.
  • The checkout-success toast is displayed reliably after a successful checkout.
  • Supported third-party payment requests and results include improved diagnostic records for troubleshooting.
  • Why it matters: Staff receive clearer confirmation of payment completion and the amount to return to the customer.

4. WebView and Embedded Page Performance Improved

  • Previously loaded URLs are tracked to avoid unnecessary repeated loads during Compose recomposition.
  • HTTP cache can be reused instead of being cleared on every load.
  • WebView pages now show a loading state while opening, and loading overlays inside dialogs no longer obscure the underlying content.
  • Address management avoids duplicate loading indicators.
  • Why it matters: Embedded Backoffice pages open more smoothly and provide clearer loading feedback.

5. Ordering, Printing, Diagnostics, and Release Stability Improved

  • Combo initialization and direct-add flows validate product availability before adding items to the cart.
  • Delivery kitchen-receipt fields and print conditions have been corrected.
  • Saved print selections and shift-handover printing conditions are handled more reliably.
  • Network request tracing, log classification, and user context have been improved to support issue diagnosis.
  • Release-build protection for network interfaces has been strengthened to reduce startup failures caused by code shrinking.
  • Why it matters: Daily ordering, printing, troubleshooting, and application startup are more reliable.

⚠️ Notes

  • Attendance and break functions require both attendance and PIN login to be enabled. Available roles, break rules, minimum durations, and overtime behavior depend on the store configuration.
  • Attendance actions require the employee's correct PIN. Server time is used for attendance status and break countdowns.
  • Printer synchronization compares printer serial number and update metadata. A newer remote configuration is presented for manual synchronization; it is not silently applied over local settings.
  • Printer synchronization tasks require matching shop, device, system source, serial number, and valid configuration data.
  • Delivery address editing and display depend on the order type, order state, available customer data, and the supported delivery workflow.
  • Customer Display Round Down presentation depends on the payment total and the applicable rounding configuration.
  • COD change is shown only when the order has a change amount to return.
  • Embedded WebView behavior depends on the availability and response of the target Web POS page.
  • The release also includes Kotlin, Compose, Gradle, and Android build configuration updates. These changes are internal to the release pipeline and do not change the supported Tablet workflows by themselves.
