Twilio Integration in OrderPin POS System

Overview

Twilio is a powerful communication platform that allows businesses to send SMS messages, voice calls, and more. Integrating Twilio with the OrderPin POS System enables businesses to send SMS notifications to customers.

 

What You Can Do With Twilio Integration

  • When a customer places an online order successfully: Notify the merchant.

  • When the merchant accepts the order: Notify the customer.

  • When food preparation is complete: Notify the customer.

  • When the POS processes payment: Send receipt via SMS.

 

How to Set Up Twilio Integration

Step 1: Create a Twilio Account

  1. Visit Twilio's website.

  2. Obtain your:

    • Account SID

    • Auth Token

    • Phone Number (Twilio Sender Number)

Step 2: Connect Twilio to OrderPin

  1. Log in to the OrderPin Partner Portal.

  2. Go to:
    Merchant Manage > Store Manage > Edit > Feature > Enable Twilio

  3. Enter the following details from your Twilio account:

    • Account SID

    • Auth Token

    • Twilio Phone Number

  4. Click Save to complete the integration.

 

How to Set Up SMS Notifications in Back Office

To enable and configure SMS notifications using Twilio, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Back Office of your OrderPin POS System.

  2. Navigate to:
    Settings > Business Settings > SMS Settings

  3. Toggle "Enable Twilio SMS Notification" to activate the feature.

  4. Enter the Merchant SMS Receiver Number (this is the phone number that will receive order-related notifications).

  5. You can customize the preset SMS templates for both:

    • Merchant Notifications (e.g., when a new order is placed)

    • Customer Notifications (e.g., order accepted, food ready, receipt sent)

 

To view sent messages, tap on "Detail" under the SMS History section. This will show a log of SMS activities.

 

Troubleshooting

SMS Receipt on Checkout

When a customer checks out from the POS, an SMS receipt can be automatically sent to their phone—if a valid phone number is attached to the order.
