✨ Highlights

• POS takeaway ordering by guest: Assign takeaway items to individual guests, with guest grouping carried through order details, checkout, and the customer display for easier packing by guest.
• Debit routing and surcharge handling: Debit transactions can be routed through either the Credit or Debit channel. The U.S. default is the Credit channel; the Puerto Rico default is the Debit channel. Debit transactions are not surcharged on either channel.

🎉 New Features

• POS takeaway ordering by guest: When enabled in Back Office, takeaway orders can assign items to individual guests for easier packing by guest. New takeaway orders start with one guest, and eligible orders retain guest grouping when opened for checkout.
• Debit channel configuration with no surcharge: Configure Debit transactions to use either the Credit or Debit channel. By default, U.S. Debit transactions use the Credit channel, while Puerto Rico Debit transactions use the Debit channel. In both cases, Debit transactions do not incur a surcharge. Credit transactions continue to follow the merchant's configured surcharge settings.

✨ Improvements

• Consistent guest terminology: Update seat-related labels to “Guest,” “Guest Tab,” and “Split By Guest,” with corresponding localization updates.
• Guest count and order information: Redesign the guest-count dialog and reduce the editable guest-count and guest-tab limit from 30 to 20. Guest count and pickup number can appear together. Changing an existing order's diner count refreshes its details so applicable charges can update.
• Ordering and checkout consistency: Align guest-mode detection across order details and checkout. Clear residual guest selection and grouping after order-type changes or returning from checkout to start another order. Improve cart rendering for grouped orders and prevent a crash when grouping items with empty or invalid guest numbers.
• Payment amounts refresh when switching methods: Switching between Credit Card and Debit Card immediately refreshes the surcharge and remaining amount, clearing the credit card surcharge when Debit Card is selected. Dual-price selection also refreshes using the newly selected payment method.
• Clock Out workflow: Remove the Tablet check that required staff to end an ongoing shift before submitting Clock Out. Ending a shift remains a separate action.
• Order action feedback: Improve pickup-completion messages and use the order icon for Send and order-progress actions.

⚠️ Notes

• Takeaway guest ordering requires the Back Office order_by_guest setting. Dine-in seat ordering continues to use its own setting and applicable service mode.
• Bar Tab and gift card orders are excluded from guest/seat ordering. Existing orders must have guest numbers on all items to qualify for grouped checkout, together with the relevant merchant setting.
• Guest deletion clears cart items; it does not cancel items already ordered. Deletion controls protect existing ordered guest numbers.
• Debit channel routing depends on merchant configuration. Defaults are Credit channel in the U.S. and Debit channel in Puerto Rico. Debit transactions are not surcharged regardless of which channel processes them; Credit transactions follow the merchant's surcharge configuration.
