About Urge Order
Generally, an Urge Order feature in a restaurant's POS system allows waitstaff or guests to prioritize a specific order, signaling the kitchen to prepare it as quickly as possible. This function is particularly useful in situations where a guest is in a hurry or there has been an error or delay in service. By marking an order as urgent, it ensures faster preparation and delivery, helping to maintain customer satisfaction and smooth restaurant operations.
How Does It Work In Orderpin POS System?
Urge order can be easily understand as an action to push an order so that it will be processed much quicker than usual, this happens mostly during peak hours. In Orderpin POS system, an urge order can be initiated by customers, or by the restaurant staffs themselves. Now we will be looking at how the customers can initiate an urge order.
Customers Journey
As usual, customers will first place an order from scanning the menu QR on the tables where they are seated.
- Place the order.
- Click on the Call Waiter button.
- Choose the reason of calling the waiter.
Merchants Journey
Once the customers have prompted the urge order function in order to hurry up the order, the notification will pop up on the POS system.
- Log in the Tablet POS with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
- On the dashboard of the Tablet POS, select Order，there will be a pop-up window in the upper right corner of the POS prompting the specific table to call the waiter for specific services.
Other than receiving the urge order request, the internal restaurant staffs can also initiate an urge request within the POS system.

2. Once the urge order has been initiated, then on the particular table, there will be a 'bell' next to the table number. This will serve as an alert to the staffs.

Just like call waiter feature, an urge order feature is also targeted mainly to improve services. Here are some of the common benefits that the restaurants will enjoy if this feature is utilized efficiently.
- Enhance better table turnover. The quicker the order is served, the quicker the table turnover is. This will also ensure that the capacity is optimized and in turn increasing revenue.
- Improve customer satisfaction. A quick service helps ensuring that the customers do not need a long wait for their foods to be served and thus increasing the likelihood of them returning.
- Improve the skills of the staffs. With urge order feature, it actually trains the staffs to be more precise in attending urgent requests which will greatly improve their skills in making customers happy.
