Modifier

In the OrderPin POS system, a modifier can be understood as an additional item that does not require any fee.

Modifier refers to an order item that is attached to a main product. For example, a pineapple juice as the main dish and ice as the extra option. A consumer can have additional ice in a glass of pineapple juice that he orders, while not being charged additionally on the add-ons. This is an important function that allows you to provide more choices to your customers and in return improving the customer satisfaction. 

 

Managing Modifier

In this article: 

  1. Creating a new modifier.
  2. Linking and unlinking modifier.
  3. Editing, deleting and sorting modifier.

Creating a new modifier

Adding a modifier should define the name of the extra needing first. The name will be displayed in the Back Office and on the POS. After adding an extra needing, you need to edit options and prices under it.

  1. Log in the Back Office with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
  2. On the sidebar of the Back Office, select Products > Product Management > Modifier.
  3. Click Add, Name the Modifier and add sub-options under this modifier.
  4. Set the modifier rules. 
    1. Limit quantity: set a selection limit for this option, such as whether only one or more can be selected, or one can be chose for several times.
    2. Choose at least one option: it means whether this extra option must be selected when placing an order.
  5. Click Save.

 

Linking and unlinking extra options

After creating the extra options, you have to link them to the associated products in order to make this functional.

  1. Log in the Back Office with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
  2. On the sidebar of the Back Office, select Products > Product Management > Modifier.
  3. Click Link product.
  4. Choose the corresponding menu items.
  5. Click Confirm.
  6. Click save.

 

Editing, deleting and sorting modifier

The OrderPin POS system is very flexible in such a way that you are able to edit any change even if it has already been confirmed and published. Due to the fast paced environment in F&B industry, it's very important to make sure that most consumer demands can be readily fulfilled under certain circumstances.

Editing order modifiers

  1. Log in the Back Office with your Orderpin POS System credentials.
  2. On the sidebar of the Back Office, select Products > Product Management > Modifier.
  3. Choose the modifiers you plan to edit.
  4. Click "Save".

 

Bulk change sales status

It can be very challenging to make changes on the items one by one, but bulk change function makes things simpler.

  1. Log in the Back Office with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
  2. On the sidebar of the Back Office, select Products > Product Management > Modifier.
  3. Click Set Sale Status.
  4. Choose the options that you would like to change.
  5. Choose the sale status that you plan to set.
  6. Click "Save".

 

Deleting modifier

  1. Log in the Back Office with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
  2. On the sidebar of the Back Office, select Products > Product Management > Modifier.
  3. Choose the "modifier" you would like to delete.
  4. Click Delete and then confirm.

 

Sorting modifier

  1. Log in the Back Office with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
  2. On the sidebar of the Back Office, select Products > Product Management > Modifier.
  3. Choose the "modifier" you plan to sort.
  4. Drag its sub-options to the specified sort.
  5. Click "Save".
