Release Date: 2026-07-23 | Version: 2.1.7
Highlights
- New Tiled and Split layouts help kitchens keep more tickets visible without vertical scrolling.
- Ticket text and Modifier/Add-on highlights can now be customized for faster kitchen scanning.
- Order headers and continuation cards have been redesigned to show key information more clearly.
- Stability has been improved for large orders, long dish names, and dish completion or recall actions.
New Features
1. Three KDS layout modes
- Classic keeps the existing scrollable ticket experience.
- Tiled fills each column from top to bottom, then continues in the next column.
- Split separates selected order types into upper and lower lanes. Orders not selected for the upper lane appear in the lower lane.
- Long Tiled and Split tickets continue to the right instead of extending below the screen.
- Continuation cards show the table number or pickup number together with Continuation.
2. Updated Tiled and Split ticket headers
- The first row shows the order type icon, table number or pickup number, customer name when available, and the complete-order action.
- When a table number is available, it is shown instead of the pickup number.
- The second row shows the server name and order duration.
- Completed tickets use a recall action in the header.
3. Configurable ticket content styles
- Dish name, quantity, and Modifier/Add-on text sizes can be configured within supported ranges.
- Dish name, quantity, and Modifier/Add-on colors can be selected from high-contrast presets.
- Specific Modifier and Add-on text can be highlighted by exact or partial keyword matching.
- Highlight rules support text color, optional background color, bold text, and italic text.
- Specifications and Pizza Builder toppings follow the same readable option styling.
- Horizontal and vertical option presentation modes are supported.
4. Improved settings organization
- KDS settings are grouped into Device, Alerts, Order Layout, Ticket Content, and System sections.
- Layout previews and ticket-style previews help staff review changes before using them on live orders.
5. Expanded language support
- KDS-specific text coverage has been completed for supported languages.
- German, French, and Hebrew translations have been added for KDS features.
Improvements
- Unexpired order headers now use a light blue status color.
- Dish quantities are displayed before dish names using the
1x format.
- Added dishes show New before the quantity.
- Identical dishes remain listed individually instead of being automatically grouped.
- Tiled and Split spacing, dividers, option rows, and continuation cards have been refined for readability.
Fixes
- Fixed a performance issue that could close the KDS when orders contained many dishes or Modifiers in Tiled or Split layout.
- Fixed crashes caused by stale dish completion or recall actions after ticket content was rearranged.
- Improved rollback safety when a dish status update fails.
Notes
- Layout and ticket-style settings are stored on the current KDS device.
- Tiled and Split layouts are designed for horizontal continuation and do not use vertical ticket scrolling.
- Merchants should review Split upper-lane order types and ticket style settings after upgrading.
