About Order Cancel
It is almost impossible that all of the orders in a restaurant are perfect, there will somehow be orders that are cancelled in Orderpin POS, order cancellation is very simple and convenient to be used by every restaurant business operator.
Definition of Order Cancellation
Order cancellation basically means an action taken to stop the transaction from completion, which also means that the order is voided and no longer being registered as a sale in the POS system.
Why Does Order Cancellation Happen?
Order cancellation is generally not an uncommon thing in the business nowadays, where customers have been getting much more knowledgeable and demanding. Regardless of what kind of businesses, there are always situations where order cancellation is inevitable. There are several common reasons on the occurrence of order cancellation:
- Poor services provided by the merchant.
- Product has been out of stock.
- Waiting time for the foods to be served is too long.
- Wrong item ordered.
- Customers change their mind.

How Does Order Cancellation Work In Orderpin POS?
In Orderpin POS system, there is a high flexibility offered to the business owners on order cancellation. There are TWO types of cancellation:
- Cancellation by product.
- Cancellation by the whole order.
Cancel By Product
It is not necessary at all circumstances the whole order has to be cancelled. Instead, you can cancel the particular items or products that are requested by your customers.
In this case, let's say on Table 202, the customer would like to cancel coconut, because the item has not been served after waiting for 30 minutes, hence what you can do is to click on the particular item and cancel product.
- Log in the Tablet POS with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
- On the dashboard of the Tablet POS, select Order.
Next, then system will direct you to choose the reason for such cancellation.
Eventually, the item that has been cancelled will be labelled as Cancelled while the others are still active.
Cancel By the Whole Order
This type of cancellation simply means that the whole order is cancelled, meaning to say that all the items are all voided and stopped from being checked out.
1. In this case, let's say the customers on Table 202 would actually prefer having soft drink instead of coffee, then what you have to do is to click the button on the top right corner and then choose cancel from the dropdown list.
2. Next, you will be required to insert the reason of cancellation. If the reason is not listed by default, then you can insert the reason in the Other Reason field.
3. Once cancelled, then you can check the order under Order Record and it has been labelled as cancelled.
