Printing a receipt is a process where the transaction recorded in the POS system is printed via the connected receipt printers.
How To Do It In Orderpin POS?
In general, there are TWO types of printer settings that you can do that will give instructions to the printers for the execution of printing.
- Manual Print Settings
- Auto Print Settings
Manual Print Settings
Manual print settings allow you to identify and determine which receipts to be printed for a particular transaction. As we discussed in the previous section, there are TWO types of receipts, namely the order receipt and preparation receipt (also known as kitchen receipt). In this section, we will teach you on how to set the printing of these receipts with step-by-step guidelines.
1. On the POS homepage, go to Settings.
2. Choose Hardware > Choose the printer that you use > Printer settings.
3. This is where you can start setting the print rules.
Order Receipt Print Rules
The amount of the receipt copies printed will be based on the number you have set in the print rules. For example, if you set the check out receipt as '2', then there will be 2 check out receipts printed after the bill is settled.
Kitchen Receipt Print Rules
In the kitchen receipt print rules, you can select the items to be printed out in an overall receipt, or separate the items based on the category by selecting "+ Add more print rules". Here's an example of kitchen receipts separated by category:
Add more print rules: It enables you to separate the print into differentreceipt
Auto Print Settings
Auto print settings allow you to enable the automatic print for every type of receipt. This will give an instruction to the printer on which receipts to be generated automatically.
