Everyone loves discount. While discount makes goods and services relatively cheaper and affordable, it also helps the business to attract more customers, improve brand reputation and in turn boost the overall sales. Seasonal discounts, cash discounts, percentage discounts and etc are the popular discounts in the market nowadays. In Orderpin POS system, discounts can be set and determined based on the business needs from the back office, and the discount can be assigned to the specific item, or the whole bill before checkout.
Type of Discounts
However, there are TWO types of discount that are found in the Orderpin POS system, namely the Order Discount and Special Discount.
Order Discount
Order Discount is the discount that can be applied on the entire bill, it can be By amount or By percentage. Once you click the discount button, you will be directed to a page like this:
The percentage amount can be inputted freely while you can also determine the reason for this discount. Once the discount has successfully been applied, then the final amount payable will be displayed.
The newly added discount calculation can also be deleted by clicking the delete icon.
Special Discount
Special Discount is the discount that can be applied on partial items. It's very important to understand which kind of discount is the best fit for the business and consumer's needs.
As for special discount, it can actually be added on the payment setting. For example, I want to promote latte today. The original price of latte is $21, but now it is only $9.9, which is set as a Latte discount can be set in Discount-settings .
Once the discount of Senior Citizen has successfully been applied, then the final amount payable will be displayed and also the item with such discount will be labelled with discount amount as well.
