Kitchen printers can now filter orders by source โ print only what each station needs
๐ New Features
1. Printer Print Range Configuration
Merchants can now configure the Print Range for each printer directly in POS tablet printer settings.
Two print range modes are available:
Print across channels โ print tickets from the selected order sources
Local Device Only โ print only tickets generated by the connected tablet
When Print across channels is selected, merchants can choose from 5 source options:
Other POS Orders
Kiosk Orders
QR Orders
Online & Mini-Program Orders
Third-Party Delivery Orders
Example: Printer A handles kitchen tickets for Tablet 1 and Tablet 2 using Local Device Only. Printer B handles Tablet 3 using Local Device Only, plus Kiosk and online orders using Print across channels โ without mixing in Tablet 1 and 2's tickets.
Why it matters: In multi-station kitchens, different printers serve different prep areas (hot kitchen, cold station, expo). Filtering by source prevents ticket clutter, reduces wasted paper, and ensures each station only sees relevant orders โ especially important for restaurants with Kiosk, QR, and delivery platform orders mixed in.
Configured directly in POS tablet printer settings; no Back Office setup required.
โ ๏ธ Notes
This setting applies to automatic printing tasks sent from the cloud. Manual print actions are not changed by this print range setting.
Existing printer configurations are preserved after the update. Existing printers continue to print all applicable automatic tickets unless the merchant changes the print range settings.
When Print across channels is selected, at least one source option must be selected before saving.
