About Receipt Type
A receipt type refers to the specific category or kind of receipt that is used to document and acknowledge a particular transaction or event. In Orderpin POS, there are TWO main types of receipt:
- Preparation Receipt (also known as Kitchen Receipt)
- Order Receipt
Preparation Receipt
A preparation receipt is also referred to as a 'Kitchen receipt'. It is very often used in the restaurant or hospitality industry as a communication channel between the counter staffs and the kitchen staffs, for the preparation of foods.
Contents Of A Preparation Receipt
- Table Number: The table number or location associated with the order.
- Order Number: A unique identifier for the order to track it through the preparation and serving process.
- Type of Order: It can be dine in or takeaway.
- Order Details: Specific items ordered by the customers.
- Modifier: Any special requirements or additions on top of the main dishes (i.e. Extra options & extra needings)
- Quantity: The number of each item ordered.
A preparation receipt plays a crucial role in ensuring that the preparation of foods is accurate and efficient. It helps to streamline the communication between the front staffs and the kitchen staffs in an effort of maintaining order accuracy.
Order Receipt
An order receipt is the type of receipt that is displayed to the customers after the order has been received and confirmed. It basically serves as a form of comfirmation. For example, when a customer places a dine-in order, a preparation receipt and an order receipt will be printed, where order receipt will give an information to the customers that the order has been secured.
