How to Use the Cash Drawer?

Ensure that the cash drawer function has been enabled to allow specific users to perform pay-in and pay-out transactions. Set appropriate permissions to restrict access to authorized personnel only.

 

Using the Pay-In Function:

Purpose of Pay-In:

The pay-in function is used to add cash to the drawer from sources outside normal sales.

Steps to Perform a Pay-In:

1. Select the "Pay-In" option.

2. Select the Notes (Add/Edit is available)

Click edit to delete the notes you just added.

3. Enter the amount of cash being added to the drawer.

4. Confirm the transaction. The POS system will update the cash drawer accordingly.

 

Using the Pay-Out Function:

Purpose of Pay-Out:

The pay-out function is used to remove cash from the drawer for expenses such as vendor payments, petty cash disbursements, or other business-related expenses.

Steps to Perform a Pay-Out:

  1. Select the "Pay-Out" option.
  2. Select the Notes (Add/Edit is available)
  3. Enter the amount of cash being removed from the drawer.
  4. Provide a reason or description for the pay-out transaction (e.g., vendor payment, petty cash).
  5. Confirm the transaction. The POS system will update the cash drawer accordingly.

 

Where can I read the daily record of the cash drawer?

The daily record of the cash drawer can be read from the Shift Report, where the cash drawer records are calculated and recorded.
