🎉 New Features

1. Redesigned End of Day

  • The new End of Day workspace shows required tasks before the business day can be completed.
  • Required tasks include closing active shifts and settling pending transactions.
  • Staff can also review unclosed orders and transactions with unrecorded tips from the same workspace.
  • The End of Day report includes Sales Summary, Payment Summary, Order Summary, Cash Drawer, Tips Summary, Staff Performance, Gift Card Summary, and Special Case information when data is available.
  • Task status and processing progress are refreshed as staff complete daily operations.
  • Why it matters: Managers can review outstanding work and complete the daily close from one organized screen.

2. Credit Card Processing Fee Exemption

  • The credit card processing fee can now be selected as part of the fee exemption workflow.
  • The permission confirmation screen previews the fees that will be exempted before the change is applied.
  • Fee exemption information is retained correctly when staff switch between cash and card payment methods.
  • Why it matters: Some U.S. regulations and payment rules restrict surcharges on debit card transactions. This gives merchants an authorized way to remove the processing fee when required without manually adjusting the order total.
  • Permission required: Staff without the required permission must complete PIN authorization.

3. Configurable Kiosk Order Types

  • A new Kiosk setting allows merchants to control which order types customers can select.
  • Merchants can display Dine-In only, Takeout only, or both Dine-In and Takeout.
  • Why it matters: The Kiosk ordering flow can now match restaurants that provide dine-in service, takeout service, or both.
  • Configuration required: Select the available order types in Kiosk settings.

4. Tip Selection for Kiosk Card Payments

  • Kiosk customers can now select a tip when paying by card.
  • Why it matters: Restaurants can offer a self-service tipping experience as part of the card payment flow.

5. Pizza Builder on Kiosk

  • Kiosk now supports Pizza Builder products in addition to Tablet POS and Online Ordering.
  • Customers can configure supported pizza sizes, modifiers, toppings, portions, and topping quantity levels directly on Kiosk.
  • Why it matters: Pizza restaurants can offer the same customizable pizza ordering experience across cashier-assisted and self-service channels.
  • Configuration required: Pizza Builder products must be configured in Back Office before use.

✨ Improvements

1. Shift details and reporting improved

  • Shift List, Shift Detail, and Shift Summary layouts have been updated for easier review.
  • Shift details, shift summaries, and printed reports now use the new reporting architecture.
  • The shared reporting architecture improves data consistency and accuracy across Shift and End of Day views.
  • Credit Card Record printing now includes total amount, net sales, and total tips in the final summary row.
  • Report templates are reused during the same session to reduce repeated requests.
  • Why it matters: Managers can review and print shift performance using figures that are more consistent across pages and reports.

2. End of Day summaries refined

  • End of Day summaries now use the same new reporting architecture as Shift reports.
  • Special Case now includes cancelled orders.
  • Zero-value Special Case rows are hidden, and the entire section is hidden when there is no Special Case activity.
  • Unrecorded tip counts now use the latest End of Day detail data.
  • End of Day task icons, loading behavior, wording, and completion states have been refined.
  • Why it matters: Shift and End of Day figures are more consistent and accurate, while daily reports remain easy to scan and focused on activity that requires attention.

3. Modifier and Add-on selection improved

  • Products with Modifier or Add-on choices now open the selection flow instead of being added directly to the cart.
  • A product is added directly only when all required Modifier groups have valid default selections.
  • Empty Extra Option and Extra Needing responses are handled more reliably.
  • Why it matters: This reduces accidental orders with missing or incorrect product options.

4. Pizza Builder free topping order improved

  • Free toppings with the same price now follow the original Pizza Builder configuration order.
  • Why it matters: Free topping selection is more predictable and better aligned with merchant setup.

5. Checkout and connection stability improved

  • Order details are retried when checkout data is temporarily unavailable.
  • If order details still cannot be loaded, the POS prevents payment from continuing with outdated data and safely returns the cashier to the main screen.
  • WebSocket and SSE connections now stop reconnecting after an intentional disconnect.
  • Why it matters: Checkout and real-time updates remain more stable during temporary network interruptions or account changes.

⚠️ Notes

  • Complete all required End of Day tasks before confirming the daily close.
  • Credit card processing fee exemption follows the store's fee configuration and staff permissions.
  • Debit card surcharge requirements can vary by location and payment provider. Merchants should follow the rules that apply to their business.
  • Kiosk order type visibility must be configured based on the service types offered by the restaurant.
  • Kiosk tip selection is available during supported card payment flows.
  • Shift and End of Day report content depends on available business data and enabled store features.
  • Pizza Builder is now supported on Kiosk, Tablet POS, and Online Ordering; products must be configured in Back Office before use.
