Unit setting

Why is the unit setting configuration required?

Unit setting involves defining and managing the measurement units used for stock items. This configuration ensures that products are tracked, sold, and reported consistently and accurately. It is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity, improving operational efficiency, and providing clear information to managers and staff.

What is Unit ratio?

The ratio or conversion factor between different units of measurement for the same product. It allows for the accurate conversion from one unit to another (e.g., from kilograms to grams, liters to milliliters, box to pieces, etc)

E.g.:

1 box = xx pack

1 pack = xx pieces

  1. Log in to the Back Office with your OrderPin POS System credentials.
  2. From the home page, select Invetory > Settings > Unit.

Before we create the stock item, we will required to create the quantifier, and you may set the unit ratio as well to tally the ratio.

Click "add" to create your measurement units, like "a can of coke", so you can tap "can" to create it.

A packet of pizza may have 20 crusts in it, so maybe we can crete the "Unit ratio"here.

  1. Create "pack" and "piece" unit first.
  2. Tap "add" of the "Unit rate", you can choose the conversion unit in the sliding selection bar, which is created in the "Unit".
