After enabling PIN Debit:

Payment method will change to Credit Card Integrate Dejavoo payment. This option must be activated to process PIN Debit transactions.

Tablet POS checkout page will also separate the Credit CardDejavoo and Debit CardDejavoo .

2. Surcharging Fee

Navigate to Back Office > Settings > Payment & Fee > Fee Settings > Credit Card Fee > Surcharge

Set the Surcharging Name/Rate and enable the Dejavoo payment.

Before enabling the PIN Debit:

The Preset Surcharging Fee will apply to both Credit/Debit cards.

After enabling PIN Debit:

A key change is that processing fees will only be applied to Credit Card transactions. Debit Card (Dejavoo) transactions are exempt from additional fees, and no fee configuration is required for this payment type.

Credit CardDejavoo incurs surcharging fees; Debit CardDejavoo do not.

3. Dual Pricing

Navigate to Back Office > Settings > Payment & Fee > Fee Settings > Credit Card Fee > Dual Pricing

Before enabling the PIN Debit:

Debit and credit card price will be set together.

After enabling the PIN Debit:

Credit Card Price(Dejavoo): Will default to the standard "Card Price." Merchants retain the option to manually set the Card Price as "Cash Price".

Debit Card Price(Dejavoo): Will automatically apply "Cash Price." Customers are not presented with a choice of "Card Price".

At the checkout page, Credit CardDejavoo will display the Card Price, while Debit CardDejavoo will display the Cash Price.

4. Bar Tab Pre-Authorization

The system does not support pre-authorization for Debit Card (Dejavoo) transactions. Bar Tab Pre-Authorization is restricted to other available payment methods.

5. Edit Tip

After enabling PIN Debit:

For a Debit Card, Tip Editing is subject to specific limitations:

  • Tip Editing: It is not possible to add or modify tips for an order after a PIN Debit transaction(swipe your Debit Card via Debit CardDejavoo) has been finalized.
  • Tip Records: Tips associated with PIN Debit transactions are not displayed in the general tip reporting lists. These records are managed through a separate settlement process.

For a Credit Card,  tips that have been successfully paid cannot be changed, but the merchant can help to add additional tips.

6. CDS (Customer Display System)

After enabling the PIN Debit, the option for customers to choose between "card price" or "cash price" pricing is disabled on the CDS. The applicable price (cash price for debit, card price for credit) is determined automatically by the selected payment method.

Once you select credit/debit payment in Dejavoo, CDS will no longer allow you to choose between cash or card payment.
