Setting Exchange Rates & Rules
1. Add Currencies
Add the currencies you wish to accept, which are different from your system's base currency.
2. Set Exchange Rate
Define the conversion rate between your local (base) currency and other currencies.
The exchange rule is typically 1[Local Currency] =? [Other Currency]. (e.g., 1 USD = 0.85 EUR).
3. Rounding Rule
To avoid excessive small decimals, you can set rounding rules for converted amounts (e.g., round to the nearest two decimal places).

4. Show Exchange Rate on Receipt
It is recommended to enable this option. It will print the exchange rate used for the transaction on the receipt, increasing transparency and facilitating reconciliation.

Using the Multi-Currency Feature
Shift Operations
1. Starting Shift
Before starting a shift, the system will typically prompt you to confirm the opening balance for each currency.
Navigate to: Tablet POS > Shift > Start Shift.
Please note:
- A maximum of 5 currency combinations is currently supported. You can switch between these currency combinations as needed, as long as the total number does not exceed 5.
- Remove a Currency: If you add a currency by mistake, you can usually swipe left on the currency in the selection list to clear the entry before confirming the shift.

2. After Shift Start
The confirmed opening balances cannot be changed after the shift has started.

3. End Shift
Enter the actual ending cash of multi-currency to confirm before ending your shift.

Checkout Process
Select the Multi-Currency to checkout.

Switching currencies
You can select a specific currency for the transaction before or after entering the amount. The system will automatically calculate and display the converted amount based on the preset exchange rate.

Change in Base Currency/Transaction Currency
For cash payments, the system will calculate the change based on the transaction currency, and you can shift to the base currency. Ensure your cash drawer has the appropriate denominations for the currencies in use.

Split Bill
When an order needs to be split and paid in different currencies, you can also use the split bill function. Different sub-bills support different payment currencies, and the system will record the amount and exchange rate for each sub-transaction separately.
E.g., Bill 1 is $15.00, paid by EUR, €12.9.

Bill 2 is $15.00 too, and we can pay in another currency, such as KHR.

Payment details will be displayed in the order record like this:

CDS
When Multi-Currency is enabled at checkout, the display on CDS will also change:
1. The original amount will switch to the amount in the new currency that follows the POS currency switch.
2. The exchange rate will be displayed below the amount.
