Orderpin’s native gift card functionality enables merchants to seamlessly manage both physical and digital gift cards—all within a single platform.
Setting Up Your Gift Card Items
For chain stores, only the HQ can enable/disable this Gift Card setting; branches do not have this permission.
Navigate to HQ's Back Office > Marketing Management > Gift Card > General Settings.

For non-chain stores, navigate to Back Office > Marketing Management > Gift Card > General Settings.

Preset Denomination (Fixed, e.g., $50/$100), allows customers to purchase/recharge without entering an amount, allowing for quick transactions. Card Denomination needs to be $5-$500, and cannot be 0 or repeated
Card Reload supports adding balance to sold gift cards when enabled
Custom Amount supports custom gift card denominations/recharge amounts.
Import Gift Cards
Chain stores - Imports can only be made by the headquarters. The first activated store after import is HQ, and the activation time is the import time.
Non-chain stores (single store) - The single store is the first activated store, and this column is not displayed in the list. The activation time is the import time.
1. Navigate to: Back Office > Marketing Management > Gift Card > Card Management, click on "Import".
2. Download the template.

3. Fill in the Card Number, Balance, and Gift Card status. Be sure to follow the template instructions to avoid upload failures.

4. Click Import to upload the CSV file.
Through the card management interface, it can be seen that the corresponding Gift Cards in the current list have been generated according to the settings in the template, as well as the unactivated state.

Activating Gift Cards
Cards have different statuses, which help merchants understand the current usage of Gift Cards in stores.
Gift Card Status:
Unactivated: Inactivated card, unavailable to use.
Frozen: The card is temporarily unavailable for top-ups and payments.
Restore: Click to restore a frozen card.
Activate: Activate an inactivated card.
Digital cards can be set to activate upon purchase or manually activated later.
Gift Cards are activated by default when sold through the POS.
1. Navigate to: Back Office > Marketing Management > Gift Card > Card Management
2. Select the gift card you want to activate and click "Activate"
Sell a Gift Card
Gift cards can be sold and topped up in the order center, but these sales and top-ups do not necessarily represent dishes.
Multiple cards can be purchased and topped up at once, and the face value can be entered separately.
To learn how to sell a gift card from the POS, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Main POS > Orderpin Center
2. Enter the "Gift Card" Entry.
Once the Gift Card is enabled, a new Gift Card sales/recharge entry will appear on the Order Center page, allowing you to sell/recharge gift cards.

Physical Gift Card sales:
Requires installation of a physical card recognition device. Successful recognition will result in the corresponding value being issued to the physical card.

Here are the descriptions of the three types of physical gift cards.
1. Magnetic Stripe Card: This type of card has a magnetic stripe on the back that stores the card number and other relevant information. The data is read by swiping the card through a magnetic stripe card reader, which decodes the information encoded in the magnetic material

2. IC Card (Integrated Circuit Card): An IC card contains an embedded microchip that stores the card's information. It is read by bringing the card near a compatible IC card reader. The reader communicates with the chip via radio frequency (RF) signals to identify the card number without the need for physical contact

3. Barcode Card: This card features a printed barcode that represents the card number. The information is retrieved by using a barcode scanner to scan the code, which translates the pattern of the barcode into the corresponding card number

Key In Card number :
Enter your card number (at least 8 digits long). The number can be entered according to your own wishes, and can be a number or other numbers that are easy to identify.

There are no default fees, taxes, or service fees for card sales or top-ups, but additional charges/reductions can be added.
E-Gift Card sale:
The electronic card will be automatically generated without inputting it yourself

Send card number
When you finish selling the Gift Card, you can send the E-Gift Card to the customer via email/mobile phone.

Enter your email and you will receive the E-Gift Card.

After successfully selling the Gift Card, the balance and status updates are synchronized to the backend Gift Card management list:
